What's with the Heat!

Ummm.. I am really curious.. What IS happening to the climate around the world. As bizzare as it sounds, the East coast seems to be caught rather scorchingly flatfooted between the surrealistic chill of the West Coast and Europe! I cannot help but wonder if this is not some kind of cosmic vengeance for the dithering politics of Washington?!

Nevertheless, it is always the poor souls who bear the brunt of any tirade. For about 350 days of the year, I love my cute, little 1800's apartment with it's original fixtures, huge windows that let in a lot of natural sun light, old coil radiators, seperate kitchen and no air conditioning. Yes.. NO built in air conditioning!

A little post on cheese...

Disclaimer: I LOVE cheese....

Yes! Give me a platter of cheese and fruits and I am a happy girl! It's,to me, the perfect lunch, dinner or in-betweens. The sheer variety of them and their orgasmic flavors do things to your palate that perhaps no other single food item can match!

When the Wisconsin Milk Board reached out to me to develop a recipe using their variety of fresh cheeses, I simply had to say yes. Honestly, it really was not difficult. Truth be told, I have been familiar with the cheeses of the region for a few years now, thanks to my cuz pandering to my cheese-y love!

Something called Summer.....

Summer came and swept me away! Yes, indeed! No, I did not mean to and neither did I think it could happen, but, the warm weather has managed to distract me away from this space for rather very long.

For those who wrote and asked if all is well, and if, perhaps, "super well", thank you! I am indeed very good but just 'myself' for now and for the foreseeable future! LOL
